Around 5:40 this evening, Company 5 and surrounding companies were dispatched to the area of Chester Pike & Lamont Ave for the Working Building Fire with Confirmed Entrapment. Glenolden Police arrived to find smoke showing and 2 victims hanging from 2nd floor windows.
Tower 5 under the command of Assistant 5 (J. McGowan) along with assisting companies arrived at a 2 Story Taxpayer with smoke showing from the 2nd floor with confirmed entrapment. Police made the rescue of one victim on the side via a ground ladder. The 2nd victim was rescued by Glenolden Fire Company utilizing Tower 5’s bucket for the rescue along with assistance from Glenolden and Folcroft Police.
Fire was contained to the 2nd floor and placed under control shortly before the 20 minute mark. Thank you to assisting companies, EMS and Police for the assistance this afternoon.
